Let’s get into the story behind the name … Muse of Style! Have you heard of the quote “Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end”?. Well, that is exactly how it happened.
Back in my high school years, I was part of an amazing yearbook family called the Trojan’s Round Table. We were twelve seventeen-year-old kids with an enormous love for what we were going to create: the Aenied high school yearbook.
I had the privilege to be the editor of a fresh new addition to the Aeneid. I was proud to introduce our very own magazine – THE MUSE. There were no models, just real students from our school. There were articles about FASHION, cars, and controversial issues. It was our chance to explore new avenues as well as other forms of expression.
The hardest part was coming up with a name for the magazine, which had to go along with the Classical theme of the school. Troy Story and The Oracle were just a few of the names that came close, but I found THE MUSE suited us best.
Yes, I know the origin is Greek, and not Trojan (or Roman). But, I thought the word MUSE, goddess of inspiration, captured the essence of what I was set out to do.
Now many years later, I would face the decision to come up with a name for my fashion, lifestyle, and beauty blog. Castello di Moda and Chateau de la Mode were options I was strongly leaning towards. Yet, my instinct told me that those names would not showcase my vision.
Then one day, I had an epiphany. At that moment, I knew that I was going to incorporate the name of my very own magazine into my future dreams.
